Congress decided quite a while ago that presidents are allowed to have a little war, as a treat, and only seek approval for it later. It’s been this way at least since the '90s and likely before.

You can if you want to, I guess. No one called for impeachment because Obama bombed Syrian weddings and schools.

Take no heed. Americans only think politics extend as far as their two party system and think it’s binary too.

(I know I’m generalising and not all Americans are as I described here)

Then they are ruled by a dictator. Congress doesn’t have a say. Courts and judges don’t have a say. That’s dictatorship.

This lukewarm take in every comment section is so old and boring. Maybe try blaming the fascists for all the, you know, fascism.

Sounds like you don’t like me reminding protest-non-voters what they voted for.

Got another 3.5 years of this. Longer if you count the time it takes to fix things.

The reminder doesn’t actually accomplish anything, though, given the gravity of the fascism we’re facing. If this were a standard election cycle, sure, whatever, blame away. But we’re not in a standard election cycle and we may never be again at this rate. So instead of pointing fingers, it’s a lot more useful for the left to unite against the fascists and try to resist their relentless encroachment.

we’re all suffering because of people who protest nonvoted right now. So fuck them. They’re just as much to blame as the maga voters. They fucked everything up. Its fucked. Its all fucked. So yeah, were going to be pissed about it.

My point is, regardless of fault, all this backwards-looking, performative infighting on the left accomplishes nothing at this particular moment. We’ve, uh, got bigger fish to fry. So let’s focus our animus (and resistance efforts) on the fucking fascists whose boots are on our necks, shall we?

Given how Germany, France, the UK etc have all lined up behind Israel, towing the line that Israel has a right to defend itself, and even going as far as saying that Israel is doing our dirty work for us, I have very serious doubts that Harris would not have followed Israel down the warpath.

Well what is genocide Joe saying about the war? What about Harris? Chuck Schumer? Hakeem Jeffries? They’re saying exactly nothing because they’re inside AIPAC’s pockets? Thought so.

Pretty sure Kamala has already said this would happen. Pretty sure Biden is dealing with fucking cancer. Hakeem Jeffries put out a video 2 days ago directly stating that Trump does not have authority to declare war, and a tweet 17 hours ago reaffirming such. Chuck Schumer has called for an immediate vote on the War Powers Act to involve Congress in Trump’s war.

        What else should they do?

Okay so admittedly I hadn’t heard of that. Jeffries barely gets a passing grade, but still that’s weak for the so-called opposition to a fascist takeover. I’d like to see condemnation of the Israeli and US strikes as a whole, not just the possibility of expanded conflict, but I guess we’ll see where the War Powers vote leads to.

Closeted men of war preaching about peace. Closeted gays fighting against gay rights. Judgemental/greedy/racist religious people putting themselves on a pedestal about how you should “take care of thy neighbor”.

It’s always the ones who preach the most, the same ones doing the exact opposite of what they preach. Always the ones bitching about the bad in the world actively hard at work making the world a shittier place.

Seriously, if Trump says the sky is blue I’ll immediately look up just to check if it hasn’t turned red/green/pink/whatever.

Be always wary of the ones telling you how to live, and watch out for their actions closely. There’s no hate like the ‘love’ of these hypocrites.
