The world needs to take the threat of the US very, very seriously. Don’t assume that upcoming US elections will fix the problem. There’s no guarantee those elections will even take place. Take steps to protect yourselves now.

Exactly how? How does one protect themselves from the largest military in history with trillions in budget? And what do we use? Almost all munitions are made in US or controlled by US.

That is what happen when we are too selfish. Countries been fine with americans terrorism till the threat because about them

        Martin Niemöller quote apply here

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Are the other of the nations of the world really so helpless? Hopeless? If you want to roll over and die, that’s up to you, but if it were me, I would fight to the death, even and especially if it were a lost cause. I mean, look at the guerilla fighters who fought back against the mighty US in Vietnam or Iraq. They gave the US hell and they sure didn’t have trillions of dollars to work with. Sure, the guerilla fighters lost a lot, but they made damn certain that America didn’t “win.”

Bro swallowed American propaganda line hook and sinker.

The US is far from invincible, and weapons are not needed. The reason the US continues to do whatever it wants is because either countries don’t offer any retaliation at all.

When sanctions start finally coming against the US. They’ll realize all they have been destroying is the stool they were standing on.

The US as it is today can’t exist without trade. It is not self sufficient and the largest army in the world is useless if you can’t feed them.

Don’t be brainwashed into thinking facism can’t be stopped.

There are many ways to stop the us on their tracks, their supply chain is impossibly weak due to years of profiteering and centralization. Within a couple of months, even Denmark, with only 6M inhabitants, could paralize the US quite easily. The US swings the largest hammer in the world but the arm that wields it is impossibly brittle and full of weaknesses.

Large scale weapons tooling and manufacturer with the entire supply chains outside of the US.

Sorry to say, but it looks like the world is going to need to start gearing up for war.

That doesn’t help in a modern war. If the threat was a bunch of random people with spears and muskets, yes, arming citizens is the play. When the threat is bombs and drones, giving everyone a broomstick will achieve exactly nothing.
Edit: was going to write boomstick, but this one works just as well.

The civil war was a long time ago.

I mean, they do have a chance. I don’t think it will be good, but I don’t envision Canada just rolling over when orange platoons will start bombing them, I expect they will fight back, and even though US is that much more militaristic, Canada isn’t toothless.
The chance isn’t particularly big though.

They didn’t have a gun problem to begin with yet recently laid some of the most draconian bans on Earth. Only Australia (now) and Britain are worse.

Furthermore, what happened after Gaddafi gave up on Libya’s nukes?

            Tap for spoiler

He was raped in the ass with a bayonet after the US and the rest of NATO helped overthrow his government.

Nukes are clearly a deterrent, and if you comply with disarmament you’re more likely to be backstabbed. Yet, the US won’t mess with those who remain nuclear armed like Israel and North Korea.

Some Americans absolutely want this. But, yes, it’s probably not a majority. Of course, I don’t think the majority can, or will, do anything about it.

Most don’t have international relations on their radar, or if they do they think it’s tariffs that have soured relationships.

Exactly. The majority aren’t going to take action against something that isn’t on their radar. The majority may just be along for the ride, but that doesn’t change the destination.

Actually, thats false. Not that it matters. Hillary had more votes than Trump in that race. And besides that, with a roughly a third of people not voting, no one truly had the Majority of Americans… just the majority of Americans that gave enough of a crap about their country and future of the world to get off their ass and vote.
