Wow, I just read all of the stuff in those links. This stood out: @bdonvr, admin of The Lemmy Club has, in my opinion, responded in good faith to the concerns raised in this post, and so I have withdrawn my proposal for defederation. In summary: They will no longer be allowing conservative/right wing communities on their instance

So much for Lemmy being all about diversity. lol

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this eventually happens to my communities, but so far the admin has been amazing and truly believes in diversity. But I’m sure that people will keep hammering on him.

well said! Just the fact that a lot of Lemmy says that “Reddit is too Right-Leaning” for them, tells you just how bad it is here. Reddit of all places, being too right leaning?! Give me a break! lololol Reddit is want of the biggest anti-conservative places out there. lol

Even my girlfriend, who hates Trump and conservatives, gets sick of all the anti-trump and anti-conservative stuff on reddit. lol

He doesn’t like me and was so annoyed by my community that he started his own. I don’t mind it though and I think the more conservative voices the better.

I did warn him to be careful of takeovers and that he’ll have to be sure to mod every single day or he can lose it. He wasn’t super friendly to my advice though. But hopefully he sticks around.

He’s about to find out just how hateful the alt-left of Lemmy can be though.

Hilarous that Lemmy and Reddit loved twitter and said it was neutral conservatives were complaining that they wre bein censored. .musk buys it, proves that previous management were censoring conservatives, makes it neutral for real, and all the libs cry and left. then they said that Twitter was doomed. So to be honest, I’m sorta celebrating Lemm.ee’s demise. Just like they celebrated ruining the conservative community.

Yeah, I don’t think Lemmy is gonna grow much larger than it is now. Basically we exclude half of the US, and any other population with conservative people. The censorship has grown worse than reddit. It’s harder to join than reddit. So yeah, Lemmy is probably at it’s peak population now.

Exactly! I’m sad that he left, I’m not sad that Lemm.ee is going away. They stopped believing in diversity of opinions.

I’m all for someone making an anti-conservative community, just make your own new community. Don’t take over an existing conservative community do to that. That’s high-level censorship.

I guess the conservative community there–that they let get taken over by a troll and turned into a joke community–wasn’t really the thing they should have been concentrating on. They were so busy shutting down anyone who was a conservative, that they lost sight of what Lemmy is really about about.

So after what they let happen to the conservative community and how they treated conservatives there, I don’t feel bad at all that they are shutting down. Never super awesome when a lemmy instance goes down, but they didn’t believe in a diversity of voices and opinion, became way to censor-happy, and now they are shutting dwon.

I say good riddance. :)

Maybe? Maybe not? Are you trying to say that the Biden articles are just to keep people distracted and avoid the Trump issues? Because if so, that’s not true at all. No one is ignoring Trump, and in fact, the media and Lemmy especially are obsessed with Trump.

So maybe clarify for me in case I got wrong?

Then stop being mad about him everytime you see an article about him. Because people ain’t gonna stop writing about him anytime soon, because of the fact that it’s coming out that there were so many people who covered up his dementia.
