They should really make a Netflix series on SCP. Like Warehouse 13 but like horror genre. I would watch the shit out of that show.

…the contents of the pipe being cut is a large volume of low pressure… The ocean at depth is a large volume of high pressure… The differential is high enough to suck a crab through a small space, making minced meat of it.
There’s stories out there of it happening to divers… Mostly to do with low pressure gas pipes being fixed or repaired.

Mind you there’s also the idea that species in the ocean often end up evolving into crabs… So more crabs to come. They’re somewhat inevitable.
