The new military service law requires all men under 45 to seek approval from the Bundeswehr to leave the country for longer than three months. It also obliges the military career center to issue it.
Didn’t have to do service in either country and never chose anything. It seems the German law does not care about that at all anyways. Feels like nobody ever considered dual citizenship.
You get to choose which country you serve your military service in.
After that, you are affected by the laws regarding military service that that country has. But not of the other one.
