58 per cent of Canadians surveyed said they no longer view the U.S. as a reliable ally

Over two-thirds of Canadians said the U.S. tends to create problems for other countries rather than solve them

Nah, as a Canadian I genuinely feel like the US is a larger global threat than Russia. The US has a larger economy, a better military, and a less functional authoritarian government. Say what you will about Putin and his authoritarianism… At least he knows what the fuck he’s doing. Trump and his entire administration are fucking unhinged morons. Not to mention if Russia decided to invade us we’d have dozens of countries coming to our defence.

I can’t say the same if the USA did. I would hope Article 5 would enact and the US could never win a war on 4 fronts. But I’m not confident.

Putin’s goals are irrelevant because the entire Russian state is paralyzed by vranyo. From the generals faking reports to the shills faking ‘victories’ online, you’ve lied to yourselves so much that you’ve accidentally built a military that only works on paper. It’s not a war machine; it’s a theater troupe that’s currently being exposed as incompetent on a global stage.

–gonna be using AI to respond to russian shills from hereon

All of their points were very true and have absolutely been considered by all Canadians lately. Some feel more strongly than others, but a lot have expressed their hatred towards the US.

Russia never made targeted threats at our sovereignty. The US has been doing nothing but that for over a year now.

If you want to use an LLM and waste a bunch of energy to respond to someone making a valid point, go for it, just kind of ends up being another reminder of how ignorant Americans can be to anything they don’t have the capacity to understand.

The US being a ‘threat’ is a separate conversation for people who care. The conversation here is that Russia is a global parasite. Their only exports are corruption, destabilization, and dashcam footage of their own tanks exploding. Even if they weren’t an incompetent mess—which they are—they’d still be a negative force that adds zero value to the modern world. They aren’t a ‘Great Power’; they’re a gas station with a failing army and an identity crisis.

What “positive force” have the US been contributing to the rest of the world lately? At this point the two countries are exporting a lot of the same destabilization and corruption.

For that matter most of your post could be used to describe the US, with the added possibility of a civil war in the near future.

Your arguments just aren’t holding weight.

Stop hiding behind the US. It’s a pathetic shield for a country that’s currently a global laughingstock. Whether the US has problems doesn’t change the fact that Russia is a hollowed-out gas station with a museum-grade military. The ‘World’s Second Army’ is currently begging North Korea for ammo and losing its Black Sea Fleet to a nation without a navy. That’s the reality of Russia: an incompetent, corrupt mess that provides zero value to the world.

“Hiding behind the US”. Jeez your talking points are straight from the Whitehouse too.

“Russia is a hollowed out gas station, but you should totally be more afraid of them than the US” - do you see how your arguments are all over the place? I guess you’re likely still using that AI to build your responses, because your posts seem to have amnesia regarding any past point you’ve tried to make.

As a Russian, I recognize the pattern. It is much easier to point out contradictions in others than to address the fact that our “superpower” status has devolved into being a global nuisance with an incompetent military.

You’re right—it is a strange position to be in: a gas station that can’t win its own war, yet insists on being a global player. We use the “What about America” script specifically so we don’t have to face how hollowed-out our war machine has actually become. It’s the essence of vranyo—we both know the “Great Power” image is a fiction, but we keep talking about the US to avoid the embarrassment of our own reality. I see you’ve adopted that tradition perfectly.

The US will get there in time. For now, Trump is still busy squandering the momentum that the US accumulated from a century of more able administrators. It was a already a deeply flawed democracy in 2016, but it had good institutions, experts and money money money. Trump is attacking all three - and there is no organized resistance yet.

This terminally online room? I should use it to gauge the legitimacy of the poll which I criticize for being irrelevant because it was entirely online? I only guessed buddy do you mean to tell me the poll was actually taken in the real world?!

No, but I can see how clever you must be for doin’ all that noodle-bakin’ critical thinking you’re putting into your thesis here.

I’m actually-factually talking about the friends and neighbors and family I have. The guy working the grocery store checkout. The teacher at my kids school. The girls at at the art center where my kid be volunteers on weekends. The stage director and castmates at my wife’s theater group. Preeeety much anyone I casually interact with. You literally stand out as one of the few exceptions.

Is that not online  enough for ya? Have I touched enough grass to be considered a legitimate data point for your bullshit scorecard? Or are we still huffing selection bias fumes and dancing to the Dunning-Kruger Memorial waltz?

I’m a bit fucking concerned about the fascist take over happening beside that not a single person down there seems interested in doing anything about.
