I haven’t experienced that in the many years I’ve lived here. It is a humble group of people, seems to me. They also have tons of love for the other Scandinavian countries. You paint a picture of stuck up nationalists, and that’s pretty far from the truth.

There are three voting conditions. Red, blue, no vote (generally, discounting third parties). That means non vote is half as impactful as an opposite vote. So they are about half as guilty.

Unfortunately, it seems we’re reaping what we sow by switching from Keynesian to Neoliberal economics. It was going ok when the demand side had money to spend. We’ve had several decades of paying for that now.
