Then we got saddle with some boring rich family for 90 minutes. I only got around to seeing the first sequel, but it delivered on all the stuff I wanted to see after I heard that first announcement.

I don’t think that’s true. I think the MAGAs have lived in such a comfortable bubble of American privilege that they don’t understand the implications of all this. They’re used to making jokes about Canada, “basically being the U.S.,” and having free and easy travel on the border that they don’t think about the fact that it’s a sovereign nation with it’s own culture and interests. I think they see this as politicians arguing, not America becoming a hostile foreign power.
Even the administration doesn’t seem to get this. They just had to cancel a, “cultural,” visit from the Second Lady to Greenland because both the government and public told them they were unwelcome. Apparently, they’re so steeped in American privilege (and probably used to people dismissing Trump ramblings as, “bluster,” or, “hot air,”) that it didn’t occur to them that you can’t just make a fun, friendly visit to a country the President threatened to invade.

Good thing we’ve got so many international allies and are known for being such a stable, reliable economic partner. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I haven’t read the news in two months and I need to catch up on current events.
Yeah, when the Krasnov thing first got published, I said something to the effect of, “I would skeptical of explosive, unverified claims like this because they may be disinformation, and either way there’s more than enough evidence that Putin has control of Trump.” Then someone accused me of being a Russian asset because everyone has brain poisoning now.

Even if Ukraine is using conscripted soldiers, you just proved that A) pro-Russian forces are doing the exact same thing and B) you don’t even look at the articles you’re sharing.
…and that still doesn’t change the fact that the headline is using passive language to lessen the impact of this boy’s death. You see this shit with police killings too; they say someone, “Died in police custody,” rather than, “Killed during a violent arrest.” Betty White died, this kid was killed in an air strike.
Wonder what he died of? Weird that the headline phrasing is so vague and passive.
That’s horrible, but I was relieved to learn that CPS doesn’t stand for, “ChIld Protective Services,” in the UK. I was expecting a much darker story when I clicked.
