  • I never watched it growing up but everything I’ve heard about it since I was an adult is great. Never watched much skit comedy outside of kids on the hall and that’s just when not much else was on.

Nowadays I’d say the kids in the hall stuff was much better than other stuff I watched, cause I’m not sure I even remember…some syndicated sitcom I assume, waiting for dinner.

Still recall some of the taglines as little as I saw it, since you were waiting for the next show (possibly Simpsons at one point on cbc).

  • Though they’re not really EU anymore at least. Unless I’m missing something? Like yes Europe but not EU.

I really hope Canada can be part of that union, our landmass isn’t overly strong democraticly (due to certain neighbors effing things up) though it’d be an awesome middle finger to the US if Mexico could join as well. Oh look you’re surrounded by people not in your coolition, funny how that happens when you decide to be a complete asshole eh?

Let’s bring everyone up that we can, even if we get used to less because we all have to live on this planet may as well work together…that’s a pipe dream I know but wouldn’t it rock if we all found out how to get along, share and communicate? Again if only.

Mean I get lots of changes need to happen to make that a possibility but not like we don’t have time to work things out and figure out how we can all prosper.

  • He has a whole country to pay for his gas… imagine how great that’s be if you were the biggest douche in the universe?

I sort of wish South Park would redo that episode with Trump instead cause he definitely beat out John Edwards. Could even just be a cut and paste for the most part, slightly different dialogue. Then a short live action apology with Matt and Trey saying hiow sorry they were that they didn’t realize there was such a better candidate when they first aired it and how much Trump is so much douchier than their original winner. Fuck even top it off with a cheesy gold paint sprayed award sent to acknowledge his accomplishments.

  • Well democratic (Western ones) countries don’t often show how upset they are with other western countries unless it impacts them. They may not condone actions but I’m pretty sure none of them ever liked dealing with Trump.

There’s that one picture of Trump in his first term sitting down while (I think) Merkle(sp?) was trying to explain something, there were other people in the shot and all (or mostly standing facing Trump) while he looked like a kid getting a lesson. They were okay for internal issues, well maybe not fine but mostly they wouldn’t say anything, but this round he’s fucked the world economy so yeah make sense. So I think they voiced their opinions previously as well just not in headlines as much.

Also the US has taken the lead so often, and (used to have) soft power that they managed properly.

Basically Trump (well his handlers) have effed up the social order so much it’s time to set the line. Sucks it took this long, cause all should have been done first term when the US elected a petulant child as leader.

Though I imagine it comes down to money as usual as you said, cause heaven forbid we figure out a way to run a country without billionaires making their voice known.

It’d be great if the people’s voices were heard for sure. Fortunately when time comes there are more of the regular folk than them. While I don’t condone violence it sucks that they can use violence and legal issues to make their goals happen without pushback.

  • That’s the best part, with someone you wouldn’t give sharp scissors to in the white house but loves to gargle Putin’s balls, it’s never enforced. Win win for people that should never have a win.

I’m sure Zelebsky is threading the needle of diplomacy to placate Trump’s nutsack and not lose territory to Russia.

Really this is a no win scenario I hope the best for all Ukrainians, from a random Canadian who doesn’t ever think wars (or military escapedes, whatever term you prefer for this or Iran) should be there just to beat up someone smaller or get more territory.

  • While growing up I used tech to make myself more intelligent, I wanted to understand how it worked and functioned. Least on a software level I’m a programmer not hardware (though may do some small projects to see at some point).

I always wonder why we fell so far, like from growing up I needed to figure out computers and ensure I could use them to their fullest. These days appears most people of a similar age don’t care cause it works.

While I see that point. it hasn’t worked that long and at this point we seem to have people not knowing where to save a word document. That’s from 3rd party stories but seems believable. So we went from some of the most curious people understanding their tools to people going ‘meh it works’ without understanding a damn thing.

It only worked decently cause the operators understood it and we put in our time. Shit did I just get a reason for Matrix operators name? Like a dual meaning besides the phone one. Huh never thought of that but back in the day operators had some answer usually…

  • Yeah like if I was them I’d arm with offerings and give the middle finger when they asked for action. They are owed for being ignored and left to fend for themselves (as I state later my understanding of the situation is almost nil, but you don’t keep allies by screwing them over) by what they thought was an ally. But everything is transactional with the memory of a goldfish for this administration.

I’ll say I don’t know the situation there well at all, maybe accepting whatever is offered with the suggested actions is in their best interest. I hope they can make a decision that doesn’t screw them over in the long run (not by their choice for sure to be clear), whatever is needed. Mean being on the wrong side of the CIA has never helped many either. Conflicts suck and it’d be nice if we could figure out how to resolve things peacefully, though I guess that idea belongs in a fairytale these days.

  • When you can justify your actions due to a fuzzy theological belief it’s quite silly. I am an atheist but if there is a god, he gave us the power of reasoning and logic. Then if there is that, why is there any logic to disobey one of ten major rules for humans to live by? He put them in a rock according to the story, wasn’t like hidden words needed to be seen by lemon juice or something. They are quite pronounced in the Bible, so why can thry think don’t kill people doesn’t apply to them?

God sent one kid, why not another if an amendment was needed in the killing but?

  • I always get my isp outers as pass through so network is controlled by my entry. I have never bothered doing much with it but it’s nice to have the option.

I used to use a ddwrt firmware for years but eventually my hardware could never keep up with my net speeds and manufacture firmware was faster. Trying an Omada network now seems alright but haven’t added their wifi.
