My Aura had the brakes go bad, and after putting a ton of money into fixing it, the transmission (Automatic) failed.
It technically still was drivable (I found a way to force it to shift) so I was able to sell it to one of those online car buying sites.
I had a Saturn which was a really nice car except for all that stuff under the hood.
Maybe have an EV company buy the branding from it.
They were kinda new, not everyone had them yet
I wondered if the common shortening of anchorman/anchorwoman/anchorperson to anchor happened after the time of this comic, but apparently it’s from the 1950s or 60s.
Because the timing of her death triggered the court to (eventually) go majority bonkers.
I don’t doubt that, I haven’t looked into it, but her life didn’t affect me as strongly as her death.

I think this one is interesting because it seems rare for the Far Side characters to actually acknowledge the absurd element like that.

That’s a reason why I much prefer the term “machine learning” (and cringe a bit at even that) to AI for anything short of AGI.
I do certainly think it’s a great achievement to have computers able to ‘hear’ and ‘see’ for example, but I don’t think that was ever properly “intelligence” on its own.
And don’t get me started on pathfinding/combat algorithms for NPCs in games.
It’s pretty metal though:

I’ve had good luck with rubbing alcohol to remove the gooey mess. You’ll end up with bare plastic instead of the rubber grip, but that’s an improvement over sticky.

The local PBS station carried a science show called Newton’s Apple. Not only was the content amazing to a nerdy kid, the theme song was way too cool for a PBS show.
That and Animaniacs.
And that’s before invading PoGreenland.
