Just so you know, operating spinning drives this way is a bad idea. If the platters are spinning and the drive tips over, the rotation of the drives resists the movement. This gyroscopic force is enough for the platters to touch the heads which are flying a tiny distance above the platter. Obviously this is a bad thing and will damage the drives.
A quick fix is to just lay them flat or fix both of them together so they have a more stable base to stand on. Putting it in an enclosure is even better.
Sweet and savory is a god tier class of food IMHO. Pineapple on pizza is just the tip of the delicious iceberg. Have you tried peaches with rice and curry? Or raisins in rice? I also like sweet and sour sauce, especially with little pieces of assorted fruits.
My girlfriend hates it, in her opinion the only way to go with savory is salt, although she tolerates pork and pineapple on pizza, since the salty pork overpowers the sweet of the pineapple. But I love it!

Many providers have specific clauses for this. Ever since crypto mining became a thing providers have included in general terms you can’t over use the service. And often specifically against using it for crypto mining.
Providers will normally warn users and only kick them off when no explanation is forthcoming.
Usually this applies to shared services, like a VPS. You pay a lower price because you share hardware. But that only works if the hardware is shared fairly. If another user hogs all the resources, the service is no good for anyone. But it can also apply to seemingly dedicated services, like your own server for example. In that case the server is free to be used for whatever, but things like cooling and power are still shared. A regular dedicated server service will be based on typical use and can kick users out who require too much cooling or power. In cases where the resources are legitimately required, they will offer contracts that allow you to use all of the resources all of the time. But in turn you will have to pay a premium for something like that.
On the surface it may seem like a bit of bullshit, but that’s often what allows prices to be as low as they are. So I’m fine with it, as long as it’s made clear beforehand (which in my experience it is)

A baby is annoying, but they can’t really help it. I can blame the parents for bringing a baby on a long flight, but I can’t get mad at that shit.
Kids on the other hand. I once had 4 unruly kids sitting on the row behind me and they were insane. It was a relatively short flight (6 hours), so a smaller plane with those really thin seats. The plane had the 3-3 configuration of seats, so mom, dad and the 4 kids took up the entire row.
The kids were between 4 and 12 years old. Dad was in the corner sleeping, not giving a fuck. The two older kids (12 and 9 I think) were playing their Switches on the other side of the aisle next to dad. The two younger kids (4 and 7) were behind me with mom. Mom was in the corner with the smallest kid and they were wild. The 7 year old was constantly smashing against their tray and thus my back, kept kicking directly against my back and screaming all the time. The smallest alternated between laughing loudly and crying (shrieking more like). The smallest also stood on the tray, grabbing at my seat and head, diving in between the seat screaming PEEKABOO at full volume directly in my ear. The smallest one would also like to run in the aisle or visit the other kids, but the other one didn’t want to move so the kid snuck in between the other one and my seat.
Mom was trying, but 4 kids on your own is a big ask. About 20 mins before we landed the two younger ones passed out and they were pretty damned cute. But in the end my back hurt, I was exhausted and deaf in one ear.
The annoying part was, the rest of the plane was filled with old people who didn’t make a peep all flight, just sat there and read, listened and slept. But we just had to be in the worst place on the plane. Sitting behind kids may be annoying, but at least they don’t use your back as a punching bag like when you sit in front of them.

You say that, but without the US military support it will be rough for Ukraine. The EU has spent a bunch of money to get all other kinds of aid to Ukraine, much more than the US. But the US has supplied more military support, more than the EU. If the US stops helping out, the EU will probably not be able to fill the gap. And Trump can put pressure on the EU by threatening to pull out of Nato again. If Russia decides to invade more countries and the US leaves Nato hanging, the EU is in trouble. Now these are a lot of ifs and since Trump has been elected the EU has been preparing. Plus laws have been passed in the US to prevent Trump from pulling out of Nato, but you know how much Trump cares about laws. Once the EU feels like they don’t need the support from the US any more, Trump has nothing to say anymore, but we ain’t there yet.
I know you are joking, but for people that don’t know: Solar Stills are total scams. They might work in a pinch as a survival tool, but for long term it’s a non starter.
They have many issues, for example in places that don’t have a lot of water and thus would be the most needed, they simply don’t work. If there isn’t a lot of water in the air, there isn’t any to extract. Even in perfect conditions these things produce very little water, in most conditions you’d be lucky to get a couple of drops. Second issue is the water isn’t clean, there is so much stuff floating in the air, you can’t drink the water that comes out without filtering / boiling first. If that step is required you might as well go with ground or surface water sources. And if there isn’t any ground or surface water sources, there won’t be any water in the air most likely. Third issue is you are creating a hot and humid environment, which is an excellent breeding ground for all sorts of nasties. Think legionnaires disease and all sort of other bacteria and fungi. Within days it becomes a serious health hazard. Last issue is the materials used are almost by definition cheap and exposed to hard uv a lot of the time. This makes them degrade quickly and fall apart. Leaving plastic waste and chemicals leaking into the water it produces, until it just falls apart.
There have been so many crowd funding campaigns for clean water from the air over the past decades. Maybe some of them are simply naive and well meaning, but almost all are plain old scams. Feeding off the desire of people to help other people, only to fill their own pockets.
And furthermore, the problem with access to clean water is capitalism. There is plenty of water available, we have the means to extract it from the ground, surface and sea. We can process it, clean it, recycle it. Use trucks or pipes to transport it to places that don’t have it. The only issue is, that costs money and the people living where the water is needed don’t have a lot of money. So bringing water to these places simply doesn’t generate a profit and thus doesn’t get done. It isn’t some kind of huge technical issue, there are many rich places in the desert that have plenty of water. Think oil states in the Middle East, or places in the US like Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico etc. Capitalism is the issue, not technology.

That’s not how AC works at all.
AC works by evaporating a gas, evaporation (going from liquid to gas) takes a lot of energy. By dong this inside a ribbed evaporator, the energy gets extracted from the evaporator cooling it down. Then a fan ventilates the air in the room over the evaporator, which in turn extracts the energy from the air. On the other side the AC has a compressor which turns the gas into a liquid. This takes energy to do, so the compressor puts all that energy in, heating up in turn. A large condenser (looks like a radiator) is used to cool the coolant down. The compressor puts in energy in the form of pressure, but as the gas is hot it can’t turn into a liquid. By cooling it down in the condensor it can turn into a liquid. A fan is used over the condensor to dump the energy from the gas into the outside air.
For gas in the past something like R134a was used, these days something like R290 (propane, but very pure/clean) is used which is better for the environment. In a very real sense ACs are energy pumps, they take the energy from inside and dump it outside. But they can also work the other way around, taking energy from outside and dumping it inside. This leads to pretty cool effects where you can heat your home with more than 100% efficiency. Because the energy you need to put in is only the overhead for pumping the energy, but the amount of energy being pumped can by much much larger. Over 100% efficiency in a closed system isn’t possible, but since an AC dumps the energy in the outside air it isn’t a closed system. ACs are also known as heatpumps for this reason.
The way an AC can be used to dehumidify is because of the dew point in the air. This is a combination of the amount of moisture in the air, the pressure and the temperature. When the AC pushes the temperature from above the dew point to below, the air can’t contain all the moisture it contains. This will cause the water to condens on the evaporator in the AC. This can (and probably will unless you are in a very dry area) occur during normal cooling operation. This is why there are normally lines to take the water and get it out of the AC unit. When the water would remain, it’s a breading ground for all sorts of nasty stuff (look up legionnaires disease), so it’s important to get it out of there. A lot of times a small water pump is used to pump the water away.
When cooling the AC tries to regulate the amount of energy pumped to keep a constant temperature in the room. Older/cheaper ACs just do this by start/stop, but better more modern ACs can regulate their power to prevent big swings in temperature and save energy. But when in dehumidify mode, the only purpose is to push the condensor below the dew point. Now the AC could do all sorts of fancy calculations to figure out the dew point and get it there. However that isn’t done at all, most ACs just push the temperature down as hard as they can. This is because the further you get down below the dew point, the more water condenses, so it gets the moisture out faster. And it’s also really complicated to calculate the exact dew point and get the measurements, because the AC itself influences the measurements a lot, so it would need sensors further away. Some big systems can do this and also measure the amount of moisture in the air and regulate to that. But small systems people have at home usually just go as hard as possible.
This is the reason why it just never stops in dehumidify mode and the air gets colder and colder. Nerds can probably get something cooking with sensors and homeassistant, but regular home systems won’t go to a target when in dehumidify mode. There are hard limits to how cold it will allow the condensor to get, to protect the system and prevent frost, but that’s not really the same as a target temperature in cooling mode.
Some better ACs also have a smart dehumidify mode, where it closes the inside unit, turns off the fan. Then cools down the condensor a huge amount. Then opens the inside unit and slowly blows air. This way it can get a lot of moisture out of the air fast and not cool down the air a lot at once. But in the end it’s the same effect. The energy still comes from the room, so the room will cool down, it will just not have huge swings in temperature.
