Libre (from French) is sometimes used to solve the ambiguity of the word free in the English language, but it sounds kinda awkward in English and there’s certainly no consensus that this should be the official replacement, or that the term free even needs replacement.
Furthermore, the FSF who originally came up with the idea of “free software” still exists and is still called the Free Software Foundation, though Stallman uses both terms interchangeably.
They don’t have nukes as such. They are prepositioned US owned nukes that remain under the custody of the USAF. The part of the base where the nukes are stored is strictly off limits to local personnel.
What makes them “shared”, is that they are intended to be dropped by planes owned by the host country, and both the government of the host country as well as the US government need to give their authorization to activate and use them.
So you may as well just consider them as US nukes.

What I used to do was: I put jellyfin behind an nginx reverse proxy, on a separate vhost (so on a unique domain). Then I added basic authentication (a htpasswd file) with an unguessable password on the whole domain. Then I added geoip firewall rules so that port 443 was only reachable from the country I was in. I live in small country, so this significantly limits exposure.
Downside of this approach: basic auth is annoying. The jellyfin client doesn’t like it … so I had to use a browser to stream.
Nowadays, I put all my services behind a wireguard VPN and I expose nothing else. Only issue I’ve had is when I was on vacation in a bnb and they used the same IP range as my home network :-|

The ruble’s exchange rate is on the level of 2020-2021: 0,011 euro to the ruble. Shows how much you know.
Also, most of the military production is internal… so the exchange rate of the ruble is meaningless to determine relative military strength, which is precisely why a PPP conversion is needed.
Then move troops there
We can’t put all our troops in the Baltics, nevermind the fact that we don’t have all that much troops and ammunition. Most of our money is spent on high tech weapons in limited numbers.

Not really.
In terms of Euros spent, yes, we outspend them, but when adjusted for purchasing power we’re scarily close to parity: 100 rubles in Russia buys you a lot more than 1 euro in Europe. And our militaries are hopelessly fragmented, and behind in the rearming race.

Russia doesn’t need to make it into Germany to make it a disaster for all of Europe.
Sure, NATO as a whole is bigger than Russia, but the troops and equipment are mostly not at the eastern border where the fighting would take place. We certainly don’t have anything near the size of the Ukrainian army stationed in the Baltics. Take the US out of the equation, because let’s be honest: under Trump they’re not going to stand up for Europe, and the military balance suddenly looks a lot less favorable. I’m not so sure the European NATO states could mount an effective and timely response to an incursion into the Baltic states, or into Poland around the Suwalki gap.

Biden is at fault here too though. He was way too timid in his support for Ukraine, slow rolling aid and self-imposing all kinds of imaginary red lines. For more than two years he acted as if he was going to be president forever, with vapid statements like “we will support Ukraine for as long as it takes”, and didn’t take into account that there was a good chance that the next president would again be a buffoon who would try everything to undo previous policies.
Don’t agree with the aircraft carrier bit. The point of aircraft carriers has always been that they can sit way the hell back, because the aircraft are projecting all the firepower. The F-35 and Super Hornet for example have a combat radius of well over 1000km.
They have always been vulnerable in the sense that it doesn’t take much to destroy them, a few torpedoes or ASMs suffice. The hard part is getting those weapons on target. That means either getting close enough in a very hostile electronic warfare and anti-air environment, or acquiring a weapons grade lock on a moving target from hundreds of kilometers away.
Both are very hard problems to solve, and $10k drones do nothing towards solving that. The threat to worry about here is not drones, but hard to intercept hypersonic missiles that are self guiding through passive electro-optical sensors that allow them to intelligently pick out an aircraft carrier to home in on.
Now we’ve got to fucking participate in it?

I’m with you, I also don’t like getting drunk and I don’t like how even a little bit of alcohol tires my body, but unfortunately I’ve found that flavor and alcohol content are directly related: a 5% beer never tastes as rich as a 9% tripel, and a 0.0% beer will never have as much flavor as even a simple 5% lager. I’ve tasted quite a few and they all taste “empty” to me. I think this is because alcohol is a solvent for a lot of chemical compounds in beer that give flavor.
So what I do instead is pick my moments, and never overindulge to the point where I feel intoxicated.
People who are “actor rich” aren’t the problem. AFAIK Clooney hasn’t done anything particularly immoral, he just played in some movies and got paid well.
You should be mad about the amoral corporations that are ruining the world, and the sociopaths that control them.
