No, not for many years now. This all happened 2008-10. I threatened a restraining order, and claimed I was sending everything to my attorney, including over a year worth of unanswered monthly “still made at me?” type of messages, and never heard from them again.

Several years later I learned they became a felon for sexual assault of another person (idk the person, but it does make keeping tabs on the stalker very easy as they are on the offender registry).

Soon I’ll be moving away from the area entirely and I’ll feel a lot better.

I wouldn’t call it clingy so much as my ex was a stalker who followed me 1300 miles…

Currently I’m sorting my quail eggs between small and large because I’m going to use the small ones for chive blossom pickled eggs, and the large for a big batch of cookies, but usually they just end up wherever they fit, one tray at a time.

I’ve been doing these for years… they don’t work as intended for more than a year or two, and then become pretty unstable. Even the lady who created it went back to low-maintenance (as opposed to zero input) systems after a few years. Still with the dirt and all but not without water movement and stuff.

If that’s true, instead of asking a rather blunt and extremely-easy-to-misinterpret question of individual people, go post a question about it somewhere. The presentation you’ve chosen (I saw the other one in the wild as well) comes across as rude and combative, even if that’s not the intention. It’s a quite bad way to foster open and honest conversation.

Since this Trump thing started rolling a whole month ago, people have been quite openly hostile toward Americans. And like fine, we get it, but many of us -are- doing things, and always have been trying to make things better… and we are getting caught by the same exhausting “you should have done more!!! You deserve it, this is what you voted for!!! Reeeeee!!!” That’s being slung at people who actually do deserve it. It’s really tiring, on top of everything else, to have to defend ourselves and our actions to random insensitive internet people with zero cause. We 75 million active blue voters can only do so much at a time to fix a country of 350 million incredibly diverse people (and we’ve been working at it for years if not decades, this loss was devastating for many of us). Most of whom are either stupid or selfish. Most of whom have never actually seen voting red or blue to have a marked impact on anything, because until quite recently it truly hasn’t made much material difference for your average person.

Before you ask, I’m working on getting my house ready to sell so I can buy some land to build up, solo and with as much manual effort as needed, into an off-grid year-round passive-productive farm (big ask in hardiness zone 4! But I’m 💪 capable!), that forms the foundation of a robust mutual aid network to help everyone I can… tho the fruits (and veggies) of my labor are far too sweet for the vipers that are fascists, so they get nothing but shot. They made this mess and I will do absolutely nothing to protect them from the consequences. Fortunately, they can’t help but tell you who they are. Every aid package or delivery will contain pro-social messaging, about banding together to get through the hard times, about supporting everyone based on need not ability, etc. I’ll also be building additional housing on this land (again, entirely solo, other than electrical), so I can provide soft landing for friends and family, or hire a person to help me in exchange for food and board for their family.

That’s totally fair; I’m also not really capable of doing something like that consistently (even tho I would absolutely love talking to smart people - my degree is science communication, so talking to smart people to learn about things and pass them along is easily my favorite thing), so I get it.

That kinda makes me wonder if interviewing comedians would be funny… I’ve never really talked to any in person for the full impact, but some of them have that timing and wit that means any conversation can be funny. I certainly thought morning radio shows where they have guest comedians on sucked big time, but those are meant more for mass appeal, and they probably work for a lot of people or they wouldn’t have them on.

Have you ever listened to the podcast “ologies”? It’s a woman who interviews people who are -ologists (proctologist, ornithologist, geologist, etc., as well as some non-ologist specialties that nonetheless fit the theme)

Maybe something like that would work for you :) then you aren’t stuck with a single topic, you don’t have to do it alone, and you don’t have to find one person to commit to it, it could be several. Just come up with good questions and have a semi-formal chat. It’s a very enjoyable model for learning new things you didn’t know you wanted to know about.

By that logic literally anything other than blasting it into space is temporary. Mountains weather, oceans turn over, even the planet as a whole has a cycle that involves melting the subducted sea floor and releasing gasses.

Sure it’s temporary, but if we have enough temporary storage to offset the (drastically reduced, I should hope) emissions, and continue to replace what is used/burned/etc, does it really matter if it doesn’t last forever?
