Ok i implemented it into the bot and it took about 1 hour and 6 minutes to fetch all links and i am now implementing the part where it is inserted into the new text.

No, i dont get it from where he would get that idea, because see c/politics mods wanted the bot gone and we removed it no question asked.

I would like to implement your code into the bot myself so i can learn how you would do it. If you are willing to share your code, please send me a github link ( or invite me if you want it to be private between you and me ) or if its super simple just send it in the dms.

MBFC API is free as they gave us access for us as a Non Profit.

We already had in mind adding these sources to our bot but we didnt had the time and knowledge how to scrape that. Personally i would like to host it on our own server so that we dont require you to use your own money just for one bot, in what programming language did you write it?

We are trying to come to a better solution ( except removing fully the bot ).

You can even be better than that! You can make a community that fact check news article / news pages. Then we can add the threads from that community to the bot and have there news page specific discussion.

No we dont. We saw the expected “ReMoVe ThE BoT” comments, because MBFC did hurt their feelings by not rating their favourite newspage the highest creditability on earth.

And just block it, then you can imagine how it is without the bot.

If we had any other api with parity of media bias / fact check, then we would have included it, but we only see paid, no api available.

But for now we have added a ground.news search link so that everyone can see a third opinion on it.

You got it. Thats the point. Its just advisory, not if its Bad creditability you will get banned.

Currently the code is for now private. We will see if we can make it public in the future. The mods wont moderate posts because of the MBFC result.
