I think you’re right with the kebab, I literally don’t know a single person that calls them ‘doner’, it’s always just kebab, and many kebab places where I live have dropped the doner as well.

G’day curd nerd! The cheese and desist thing was definitely a dick move by this Italian consortium, but iirc they later admitted that they had overstepped and ended in good terms with the Aussie youtuber.

they can’t force you to make food a specific way, right?
I see you’re not very familiar with the eu. They can and they do, if you want to call it some specific name they force you to do it in some specific way, or to source the ingredients or even make it in a specific place. It does make sense, in a way, but it also can get to ridiculous points some times.

You’re not far off. We don’t call it ‘federal government’ but in practice it’s exactly that, in the same line that we call the prime minister ‘presidente’.

I think it is unlikely. The us is extremely expensive compared to Russia or China, like a janitor in an American weapon factory is probably better paid (in absolute terms, not taking into account cost of living or anything) that a top engineer in a Russian or Chinese one. I don’t think they could afford them.

Well—2024, 2025—it does seem that there’ve been fewer shootings. But I can only average the 2024 total against two months, it’s possible that January and February are just slower months. Maybe some people don’t have money for bullets or even had to sell their guns to buy eggs for breakfast. Also the news and media are completely overloaded with Trump’s (and company) bullshit 24/7.

So the bad guys here are the ones preventing others to use their research… right?
Eu! Du ju habe a leucence fur dat neuf mait!?

…but the task force sent to evaluate the island’s potential determined that only 5,000 to 7,000 families could be accommodated, or even as few as 500 families by some estimates.
…calling for the resettlement of a million Jews per year for four years, with the island being governed as a police state under the SS. They assumed that many Jews would succumb to its harsh conditions
That sounds more like ‘outright extermination’ than ‘displacement’ to me but ok.
I see you’re not the oc but as someone defending their point I’ll ask again, do you have any sources on these ‘plenty of pro-Israel Nazis’?

Do you have a source for that? Because antisemitism seems to be a core tenant of nazism according to everything I can find.
Also nazis, due to this antisemitism, seem to view Muslims as natural allies, see how neonazis celebrated 9-11 around the world (except in the USA) or this quote:
“…we could have emancipated the Moslem countries dominated by France…All Islam vibrated at the news of our victories…created a feeling of malaise among our Islamic friends…” Adolf Hitler. Last will and Testament.

A country full of resources is very often a curse for its people.
On a note, *meddling.

It’s true you don’t see many punk women. And in fact, they are so alike in voice and appearance, that they are often mistaken for punk men.
And this in turn has given rise to the belief that there are no punk women, and that punks just spring out of holes in the ground!
Which is, of course, ridiculous.
The other commenter specified ‘European’,as to remind that Europe is included in the term ‘western’, and I haven’t seen any of these here.
Also I think that calling a style developed by Chinese people, that had learned to cook from other Chinese people (and so on for many generations) ‘100% American’ is debatable at least.
