I thought it might be a stupid movie to hate watch but I enjoyed it. The bread crumb trail quest line type of movie scratched the itch for me.
That’s a good point about it emerging from certain properties and not just and idea of more complexity. I forgot where I first heard about the complexity being tied to consciousness, but it could be a simple property that we are overlooking. It might be a simple process that we are just not aware of. I do agree there is a sweet spot where a lot of these interactions could happen, but if it’s too hot or too cold then nothing.
Maybe our consciousness wasn’t actually “supposed to” happen. We might just be an accidental by-product of what the universe is actually working towards.
If it’s emergent, it seems less presumptuous to assume that the most complex interconnected system of all, the universe itself, wouldn’t develop consciousness.
I was, no shit, just thinking about this on my break about an hour ago. God or whatever you wanna call them. If there was a way to develop more consciousness by adding more information to the universe. If consciousness emerges to solve complex problems then maybe if we populate/terraform planets then we will have a deeper understanding.
I have no clue. It looks the same to me.
There are different levels of processed food. A meal cooked, frozen, and shipped can have less risk than a sausage with a stick in it wrapped with a blueberry pancake infused with syrup.
Use your best judgement.
Great! I got a random Excel question. Sometimes when I pull reports at work the format for the price changes. Instead of showing the $ and the correct amount of spaces after the cent sign like .00, it has no $ and many digits after the cent sign like .000000000000000.
Now when I try to change the cell format back to currency, accounting, text, or anything it keeps the same format and amount of digital after the cent sign. The work around I found is to open up a different Excel doc type it in the correct format and then copy and paste over the incorrect formatted cell.
Do you can a better answer or did I explain horribly and your as confused as me when I try to fix Excel?
I think you cracked the code. I would have to take a double check because I would eat that onion. 😂
I had the same brain fart and I couldn’t make sense of it. Took me a minute to realize the first name.
The only thing I can assume that is referencing is when felons can’t vote in some states unless their court obligations are done. Some states passed laws where you can’t have your voting rights reinstated unless that court debt is paid off. That includes payment. Some people did their time but haven’t paid off their court fines.
I think both are terrible. Forcible rape (as the example you gave) is the idea that most people think of when they hear rape. There are other kinds.
I think building a life with someone and raising a child for a few years with someone, only to have that person disappear. No explanation. Just gone. That person you thought you know was an act that you spent years living with. That’s an extreme act of betrayal. I’m not sure if I would be able to get over that.
Would you consider this worse because it was years and wasn’t only physical? What word would you use to also encompass the extra trauma involved with this lie?
I can see why you would want to use a different word. Mainly to explain different scenarios of rape for people to be aware of, but I wouldn’t call it diminishing to other victims.
I don’t believe he would utter such truth.
It was really just the first one he saw that they won. There were more timelines, Strange just got tired and picked this one.
Idk a pic of 200 dead men with their face burned off might do something.
Definitely looks too long.
That’s the point of the 2 party system.
I don’t even think he will wait a few weeks.
Anecdotal evidence, but I trained with some soldiers from the army of Georgia and they HATED Russia. This was around 2014, so not sure how much might have changed since then.
It was a Tuesday.
