The problem is, as bad as public opinion is amongst the public, the elected officials (this round) are the ones who sign the agreements for lockins the next 15-20 years. Their hands are greasy as fuck, I hear.
We have a segment of our society, generally young, highschool educated men in their late teens to 20s who are the frontliners generally affected by job losses as a result of these boycotts. No American company is hurt. Several prominent franchise brands were affected. These people are now prime candidates for the next best thing for their segment - delivery riders. Only these are generally considered public nuisances due to flouting traffic laws, riding against traffic, riding on pavements, etc.
