Was in a foreign country recently. The toilets were marked M/F. Walked in one door and my husband went in the other and they both opened into the same large room with sinks in the middle and fully closed cubicles around the edge.
Why would an international student want come to the US when they could be deported or imprisoned any day? Or if they leave the country for a trip might not be allowed back in to finish their degree?
UK and Italy are playing Trump’s game. He doesn’t negotiate. He demands tribute and only honours agreements if they are a win for him and he feels like honouring it at the time. Canada has a Trump negotiated trade agreement - the best agreement ever, in his parlance. It is apparently not worth the paper it is written on.
Countries must negotiate trade agreements - with everyone except the USA. And citizens must support their countries by not purchasing any thing from the USA.
As for the few Americans that didn’t vote for Trump, so sorry but your fellow Americans still fully support him. So it isn’t “just Trump”, it is America that is the problem. Trump is simply reflecting who the majority of Americans really are.
Except, for example many Canadians, who are really fed up with being the kick ball for American Presidents (Trump has a lot of company when it comes to tariffs), who will do their best to not buy anything from the USA. I predict our trade deficit will go in the opposite direction that Trump hopes. The USA still needs to buy electricity, gas/oil, wood, and various other raw products from Canada. We don’t have to buy finished goods from the USA since there are plenty of other countries to supply them. We really don’t need to vacation there.
I wonder if Americans will wake up and start to push back when they and their families start dying for this stuff. Taking over other countries means death and not just to those who are being taken over.
Does Russia have enough male population left to fight a big war? They’ve killed off a good chunk of them in Ukraine already.
Wasn’t dog in a crate? Possibly died due to lack of water and food?
70% of American voters allowed Trump to be elected by either voting for him or not voting. Only a minority of 30% tried to stand against him. I hope Trump has a hell of an impact on the 70%. Every one that cries that they voted for him but have lost their job or whatever fully deserve it. Nothing he is doing now wasn’t known before the election. None of it is a surprise. The only surprise is that 70% of Americans supported him destroying their country.
Personally, as a Canadian, I’d rather never have anything to do with, or buy anything from, the US again. Yes it will hurt in the short term however I think Canada’s best future involves acting as if the US only exists as a threat - Russia, North Korea & Iran all rolled into one.
