I’d like to reduce my big data footprint, and it would be really helpful to get a list of all the organizations that have data about me so I could request a deletion, or at least delete my account if it’s something I created years ago and forgot about.

GHOST AI generated that, I think. As far as I’m aware, he AI-generates the artwork used for some of his articles as far as I’m aware. I’ll need to have my producer ask him about it.

I don’t think they’re talking about the image. don’t you see the irony of a page dedicated to erasing your digital footprint asking you to accept cookies (that more probably than not contribute to your digital footprint)?

I didn’t see that, to be fair. That’s because GHOST uses WordPress[dot]org to host his blog, and sure, there could be something weird with WordPress.

TLDR; Change your email and “disppear”

After seeing that my email address had been pwned, I took the following steps:

    • Opened a new email account that supported aliases
    • Migrated services to new email aliases, keeping things like Facebook on seperate ones so it could be deleted later
    • Paused og email account for 1 month till I was sure I had everything
    • Deleted old email
    • If it’s a gmail, use google takeout to get your photos, Pipe Pipe or similar youtube frontend to download Purchased Videos (not tested), and download files from GDrive to backup
    • Started using Fairmail client (K9 and Thunderbird should work too). It doesn’t auto load images which is necessary for pgp security, and when you click on a link you can see if it contains trackers and pick your browser
    • Started using AuthPass to manage passwords and make them more complex
