Agreed. This strategy works best in a two party system. Much easier to divide and conquer only 2 choices. Not so much with ranked choice voting and multiple parties. The US was a time bomb of corruption wating to be purchased from either political party. Putin just paid the most for GOP access and got it.
Not quite, I’m mexican, not from the USA and it’s the same thing, we are being stripped from our rights, censored and constantly bombarded by propaganda because those who could have done something (example: punish those in power who were breaking the law) didn’t do anything.
Civilians were protesting but they were ignored so… Here we are, having a shitload of political parties is pointless since the voters gave practically absolute power to one.
It’s the bog-standard “how to dismantle a liberal society” approach, outlined by, Carl Schmitt. It was already used once in Germany, I imagine the AFD wouldn’t need to go to Russia to learn about it.
