Rep. Delia Ramirez called on her fellow Democrats to “stop making excuses and act” to stop a war in Lebanon, as many refuse to go on the record about whether they’ll support a war powers resolution that would halt US military participation in Israel’s escalating occupation of the country.

Axios reported on Wednesday that some Democrats are “fuming” about having to take a vote on a resolution introduced by Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), which would require the US to end unauthorized military cooperation with Israel in Lebanon within seven days of being passed. The resolution would need Republican support to pass the GOP-controlled House.

It’s nice to see a handful of Dems trying to do something on Iran.

I just remember the Slotkins and Schumers of the world back in March just tossing their hands in the air and saying some variant of: “We’re in it. Now we have to support the troops.” (Meaning, approve all funding requests and send WMD’s.)

I don’t think it will matter though. Both ruling parties love war and the money it makes them. We’ll still be dealing with Iran decades from now, long after our esteemed president has fallen asleep in a meeting for the last time.

This is what Democrats should propose. Egypt will be given the West Bank enlarged by land equivalent to the Gaza Strip. In return, Israel will be given the Gaza Strip and land at least 3 times larger than the West Bank in the Sinai Peninsula. Some of the land will be adjacent to water so Israel can build desalination plants. The Sinai is inhospitable, and Egypt doesn’t have the technology to develop it, but Israel does. With its new land, Egypt can give it to the Palestinians, make it a state within Egypt, or whatever it wants.

Democrats have to come up with a creative solution. Think outside of the box.
