Absolutely! And if that wasn’t enough, we actually have the 14th AMENDMENT, that prohibits anyone who has participated in an Insurrection, from holding office, and yet not a single Democrat tried to invoke that amendment.
That would have kept Trump from ever holding office again, as well as numerous other MAGA traitors. It wouldn’t have been a controversy - he clearly planned and launched a violent Insurrection, and the 14th Amendment covered it perfectly. MAGA would scream, but that’s what they get for losing their Insurrection. If you shoot at the King, you best not miss.
Except they did miss, and instead crushing them for it, the Dems gave them a Mulligan - go ahead, take another shot at destroying America. If the Dems had shown any leadership at all, they could have easily, and legally, kept all MAGA traitors out of office, but they were too cowardly, as usual. MAGAs will use any law, policy, amendment etc., and manipulate it far beyond any reasonable expection, to get what they want, but Dems won’t even use the tools that our ancestors gave us to avoid exactly the situation we are in. If those composers of the 14 Amendment could see this, they would be so angry at 21st century Dems: “WHY DO YOU IDIOTS THINK WE PASSED THOSE FUCKING AMENDMENTS?”
