My point is simply you can’t blame this pope for the actions of the Catholic Church writ large. He’s saying the right things, at least. All he has to do now is give back all the treasure in Vatican City and digitize the catacombs to modern file sharing catalogs. Maybe a few other things too. But still, nice sentiment on his part.
