He’s a toddler, and always was
Now, he’s a toddler with dementia.
He’s a great example of why no one should be required to respect elders who don’t earn it.
Respect isn’t a one-way street, and needs to be earned.
For me, respect is the baseline. It’s given by default unless and until given reason not to.
