It is infuriating to watch these people run over their own toes over and over, then ask without any sense of curiosity or desire to understand “why can’t I walk anymore?” I don’t think they want to know. I think it’s easier to pretend that this is all too difficult and complex for them to understand than it is to come to grips with the reality that, to borrow industry lingo, “shit’s fucked”.
