He’s lucky most poison arrows aren’t really poisonous; they’re venomous. A poisonous, but not venomous, arrow would be just as effective as a regular arrow.
I think that’s the joke here. However, thanks for pointing it out because I had not understood it at first.
Though tbf, they’re supposed to be called poisoned arrows, as in poison has been applied to them (being that they are inanimate, were they animate it would mean that someone fed them arsenic.) Which, that also might be the joke lol.
