    The obvious joke that he’s setting up the other guy to be mugged is a little unsatisfying for a Far Side comic IMO, so I’m going to pretend that Larson’s actual joke is a less obvious one that you have to think about for a while to get. The one I can come up with is that he’s mocking the other guy for not being a struggling artist.

      Maybe it’s a riff on the people who stuck signs on people’s backs in school and how that one artist never grew up.

      The spire/antenna on the right panting is crooked, the one on the left is straight. I think the joke is in the slightly better quality.
